Mar Menor – “the small ocean” is a perfect place to
take a swim, not least for the kids because the bottom slopes vary gradually
here. The average temperature in Mar Menor are usually a couple of degrees
more than the Mediterranean temperature, this makes it fully possible
to have a nice plunge even in the winter season. At La Manga you get the
feeling of being on a tropical island, you can watch both sunrise and
the sunsets reflection in the water. Mar Menor is enriched with a lot
of minerals and salts that is said to have a healing effect on a lot of
known skin diseases. At the start of La Manga you’ll find the village
of Cabo de Palos who is well known for its fishing restaurants, however
there is also a lot of bars and discos to enjoy there.

in the daytime and an exciting nightlife that starts in the evening. After
the summer season you can enjoy a calm environment on the beach and a
lot of culinary experiences with good food and a glass of wine.
About one mile in on La Manga you’ll find the beautiful harbour
Tomas Maestre, here are all the great offers of boat rental service. Here
you can go on an excursion in Mar Menor or rent your own boat for the

the harbour, Tomas Maestre so we recommend you to pay a visit there.

The future of La Manga will be an exciting development in the next five
years to come. The new harbour that is coming in Tomas Maestre is highly
welcomed by the sailors and the cabin cruisers. Not only to mention the
new golf course Veneziola. Veneziola has just opened two km further in
from the Tomas Maestre harbour and is a 9-holes "pitch and put"
course.

La Manga is only 25 minuets from the main airport in Murcia, San Javier
airport. Some of the airline companies that fly to San Javier are Norwegian
and Ryanair, BMI Baby and many more. About one hour from La Manga is Alicante
airport, some of the airline companies that have that distance are SASBraathens,
Sterling and Spanair among many other airline companies.
Spain has a well-developed road- and railway system with a good communication
system with the rest of Europe. The long distance from La Manga to Madrid
is fully possible to reach in a four-hour drive.
